The Year Class is an intensive class providing the opportunity to explore in depth the more esoteric and spiritual aspects of Chi Kung beyond the skills taught in the weekly classes.

The skills learned in The Year Class consist of techniques to clear and transform energy within oneself, and techniques to perceive one's energy in the form of Gates (chakras), Guardian Chi (auras), and Meridians, following the general principals of traditional Chi Kung theory. But it should be noted that the emphasis will be on the Experience of Chi, rather than the Theory of Chi. The skills taught in the Year Class provide the participants with the ability to perceive and understand for themselves. It is considered more important to see what the chi IS doing, than to remember what the chi is SUPPOSED to be doing.

Participants will also learn skills to help others clear and transform energy. Facilitating healing in someone else is a natural extension of the ability to work with one's own energy. These healing skills are easy to incorporate into other healing modalities, such as massage and counseling, therefore they may be of special interest to those already pursuing careers in those fields. But we all posses the ability heal one another, and the Year Class will bring out this natural gift.

The Year Class is so named because it meets for at least 52 weeks, once per week for two hours. In addition to class meetings, participants will be provided the opportunity to put in additional hours in supervised clinical practice as trans-personal skills are acquired and mastered. This obviously requires a sincere commitment of time and resources on the part of both student and instructor. It is understood that a year is a long time to commit and that things come up that will require a participant to miss a class occasionally . In this event, every effort will be made to supply the missed information. Participants are asked to keep absences to a minimum to maintain class continuity for all participants. It is also important to note that there is never a contract for the Year Class. Although it is hoped that participants continue to the completion of the class, a participant may drop out at any time.
